Dogs Quickly Chased Surrounded and chewed the rat in NYC Dog Park
As shown in the now viral video posted on Twitter, the owners frantically tried to run their dogs, who quickly chased, surrounded and chewed the rat.
The clip - which garnered nearly 6 million views Thursday afternoon - is set to the jazz tune "They Say It's Spring" by Blossom Dearie while the puppies raise dust.
While many were unable to catch the rat, the dog, later revealed as a four-year-old Jindo mix named Zoey, grabbed the rodent's jaws - shaking his head before blowing the rat up in the air.
While other users were concerned about the health of rare dogs - provided the rat transmitted diseases that could cause canine diseases - owner Zoey, identified only as Jonah, assured the internet that his puppy was in good health. He photographed himself and Zoey saying, "Zoey did not get sick!"
