Ammanford School Girl Stabbing Video - Girl has been Arrested for Trying Attempted Murder

A young girl has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a student and two teachers were stabbed at a school. Ysgol Dyffryn Aman in Ammanford was placed in a locked emergency center on site this morning.

Dyfed-Powys Police said two teachers and a pupil were taken to hospital with stab wounds. A teenager has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and is currently in police custody.

Several people with children and family members at Ysgol Dyffryn Aman in Ammanford said they were asked to stay in class and students were asked not to use their phones. Superintendent Ross Evans, Carmarthenshire commander, added: “I would like to reassure parents and the public that the incident is over and the pupils have now left the school.

"We are working with the school and other agencies to ensure that adequate support is available for all those involved. This is a very distressing incident and our thoughts are with the victims, their families and everyone affected by the incident."

The Air Tracking Service confirmed that two air ambulances were at the scene, one from Dafen, Llanelli and the other from Welshpool. Ysgol Dyffryn Aman, located on Margaret Street in the town, is a sixth form bilingual primary school with around 2,000 pupils from a large area.

Emergency services are at the scene and the school is closed for investigations. In an earlier statement, Dyfed-Powys Police said: “Dyfed-Powys Police are dealing with an incident at Amman Valley School.

"Three people have been injured and are currently being treated. One person has been arrested and we are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident. Emergency services are at the scene and the school has been closed pending investigations."

“We work closely with the school and Carmarthenshire County Council. We are aware that there are currently photos of the event on social media. We ask that this be removed to avoid contempt of court and distress to the parties involved. We ask people not to speculate during the police investigation."

The Welsh Ambulance Service (WAS) also released a statement saying they were called to the scene at around 11.15am. They confirmed they had dispatched four emergency ambulances and a danger zone monitoring team. They were joined by two paramedics from Cymru's Head of Operations and High Acuity Care.
