French cyclist Loana Lecomte was injured on Sunday (July 28) after a horrific fall during the women's mountain bike event at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Lecomte took the lead from the start of the race but was quickly overtaken by her compatriot Pauline Ferrand-Prevot.
