Olympic Medallist Charlotte Dujardin Whipping Horse Video Viral
A video of Charlotte Dujardin flogging a horse was broadcast live on Good Morning Britain after the Team GB star was suspended ahead of the upcoming Paris Olympics.
Dujardin, a three-time Olympic champion, withdrew from competition on Monday over the video and was immediately banned for six months by the International Equestrian Federation (FEI).
The video shows the Olympian using a long whip and repeatedly hitting a horse ridden by a rider whose face is hidden.
The set is not long, but the long whip is used more than once, the horse moves a little and raises its hind legs when it feels uncomfortable.
Stephan Wensing, the 19-year-old's attorney who filed the complaint, said the incident occurred when Dujardin asked the student to lift the horse's leg.
