David Pearce Gets 146 Years to Life for Fentanyl Deaths of Christy Giles and Hilda Cabrales-Arzola

In a case that has shaken Los Angeles’ entertainment and nightlife circles, Hollywood producer David Pearce, 42, has been sentenced to 146 years to life in state prison for his role in the fentanyl overdose deaths of model Christy Giles and her close friend, interior designer Hilda Cabrales-Arzola.

The tragic incident dates back to November 2021, when both women were found unconscious outside separate hospitals in Los Angeles. Christy Giles was pronounced dead at the scene, while Hilda Cabrales-Arzola was placed on life support but passed away days later. Investigators determined that both women had fatal levels of fentanyl and other drugs in their systems, sparking a case that exposed the dark side of LA’s party culture.

Pearce, who once boasted connections in the entertainment world, was accused of supplying and administering the lethal drugs that led to the women’s deaths. Prosecutors described his actions as predatory and reckless, highlighting a pattern of manipulation and exploitation targeting young women in social settings.

During the sentencing, the court heard emotional testimonies from the victims’ families, who described their unbearable grief and called for justice to prevent similar tragedies. “Christy and Hilda were bright, talented, and full of life,” one family member said. “Their futures were stolen by someone who showed no regard for human life.”
