Mexican Mayor Carlos Manzo Assassinated by Gunmen After Vowing to Crack Down on Drug Gangs
Carlos Manzo, the recently elected mayor of Santiago Astata in the southern Mexican state of Oaxaca, was fatally shot by gunmen after publicly vowing to confront powerful drug cartels operating in the region.
