Suspicious Black Glove Discovered Near Nancy Guthrie’s Home as Search Efforts Escalate

The search for 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie has entered its 12th day, and investigators say they are aggressively pursuing new leads as thousands of tips continue to pour in.

Authorities from the FBI and the Pima County Sheriff’s Department are working around the clock to piece together what happened after Guthrie was taken from her Tucson home overnight on January 31. The case has drawn national attention and intensified scrutiny as new evidence emerges.

Key Evidence: Black Gloves Recovered

Investigators confirmed that a pair of black gloves has been recovered and sent for DNA analysis. The discovery follows the release of chilling surveillance footage obtained from a Nest camera outside Guthrie’s home.

The video, released by the FBI on February 10, shows an armed individual wearing a ski mask and gloves near the residence. Authorities have not publicly confirmed whether the recovered gloves are directly linked to the person seen in the footage, but forensic testing could prove critical in establishing connections.

Doorbell Camera Footage Requested

In a further development, neighbors with Ring and other doorbell cameras have been asked to provide footage from specific dates and time frames.

According to reports from NBC affiliate KVOA, investigators are requesting video from:

January 11 between 9 p.m. and midnight, more than three weeks before Guthrie’s disappearance

January 31 between 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m., the day she was taken

The request for footage from January 11 suggests investigators may be examining the possibility of earlier surveillance or planning activity prior to the abduction.

Thousands of Tips Under Review

Authorities say they are carefully reviewing thousands of tips submitted by the public. Law enforcement officials emphasize that even small details could prove significant in reconstructing the timeline of events.

While many questions remain unanswered, investigators continue to urge anyone with relevant footage or information to come forward.

As the search intensifies, the case underscores how modern surveillance technology — from home security systems to doorbell cameras — may play a pivotal role in uncovering critical evidence.

Savannah Guthrie and Siblings Issue Emotional Plea as Search Continues for Missing Mother Nancy

Savannah Guthrie, co-host of NBC’s Today show, and her brother Camron and sister Annie have made a heartfelt public appeal for the safe return of their 84-year-old mother, Nancy Guthrie, who disappeared from her Arizona home earlier this week.

In a tearful video posted to Instagram on Wednesday, the siblings begged anyone who might have their mother — including a potential abductor — to make contact and provide proof of life. “We need to know without a doubt that she is alive and that you have her. We want to hear from you, and we are ready to listen,” Savannah said in the nearly four-minute clip.

Law enforcement in Pima County, Arizona, is treating the disappearance as a possible abduction and has described Nancy’s home as a crime scene. Reports indicate that her car and phone were found at the residence, and authorities have acknowledged ransom notes circulating in the media, though their authenticity remains under review.
